The Illinois Association of School Administrators is seeking a School Social Worker to evaluate student social, emotional, behavioral, and health needs; develop IEP goals and services; provide individual and group social work services; and maintain confidential case records. The role includes crisis response, PBIS coaching, and liaisons with families and community resources.

Evaluate the social , emotional, behavioral and health needs of students
Identify, create and implement social work IEP goals and services
Provide individual and group social work services
Maintain confidential records on the progress of each case
Conduct functional behavioral analysis
Assist in the development and monitoring of behavioral intervention plans
Provide resource and consultative serv ices to special education teachers
Schedule multi-disciplinary staff conferences
Share the responsibility of interpreting the educational program to the community – such activities as Open House, Parent nights, PTA/PBC meetings, etc.
Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of effective behavioral intervention strategies
Serve as Internal Coach for PBIS
Respond to crisis and provide intervention when necessary
Serve as a liaison between school, families and community resources
Ability to evaluate building needs and develop responsive programs
Serve on student support teams and special education committees
Review student records to identify previous barriers and /or interventions
Conduct parent interviews to acquire socio-developmental information as needed for special education referrals
Analyze information gained through record reviews and interviews to determine environmental impacts and appropriate resource needs; integrate gained information into a written report and oral presentation
Participate in professional development activities aimed at current trends and best practices for the provision of comprehensive school social work services
Maintain an ongoing liaison with community agencies and other resources to meet student needs; refers parents and student to agencies when appropriate
Illinois Professional Educator License with a School Social Worker endorsement or equivalent
