Mecklenburg County’s Youth and Family Services Division (YFS) seeks a Social Work Supervisor to supervise, train and evaluate professional and para-professional staff, ensuring compliance with policies and program goals. You will compile reports, monitor cases, and provide guidance to teams on complex situations.
Located at 10101 David Taylor Dr., Charlotte, NC 28262, this rotating schedule runs 11:00pm–8:00am on weekdays and 6:00pm–6:00am on weekends, with holiday rotations.

Salary Range: $69,388.80 to $86,736.00. This is an exempt (salaried) position. Due to the hours of operation, members of the Social Work Supervisor Afterhours team are awarded a one ‑time 5% shift premium. Pay rates are based on education, skill, experience level, and internal equity. Internal equity considerations include an assessment of the applicant’s salary history and qualifications in comparison to the market rate and requirements for the job.
The Social Work Supervisor provides direct supervision, training, support, review, and evaluation of professional technical and para‑professional staff involved in areas which could include Social Services. This position compiles reports and data to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures as well as assignment and monitoring of cases. This position provides feedback to staff to enhance their capabilities to perform efficiently.
This position is located at 10101 David Taylor Dr., Charlotte, NC 28262. This a rotating schedule with a shift of 11:00pm – 8:00am during the week and on weekends 6:00pm – 6:00am. Position is expected to work holidays on a rotating schedule.
Experience: Minimum of five years of social services or human services experience.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Health, or related field.
Combination of relevant education and relevant experience accepted? Yes
Proficient in various computer applications including Microsoft Office Suite.
