Job summary

Binghamton University is seeking faculty at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor to join its Department of Social Work within the College of Community and Public Affairs. Qualifications

• Doctoral degree conferred by August 1, 2027.
• Experience teaching online asynchronous, and/or in person environments.
• Scholarly research and teaching that incorporates inclusive pedagogical approaches.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct publishable research and pursue external funding.
• Commitment to creating high-quality learning environments that respect diverse perspectives and comply with federal non-discrimination laws.

Responsibilities

• Teach approximately two courses per semester across the Department's BSW, in-person MSW, and exclusively online MSW programs.
• Contribute to the continued development of the Department's BSW, MSW, and emerging doctoral programs, as well as to interdisciplinary initiatives across CCPA and Binghamton University.
• Mentor students in research and scholarship as the doctoral program develops.
• Establish and sustain an active program of scholarship with strong potential for external funding from NIH, HRSA, ACF, DoD, foundations, or other sponsors.
