Cygnet Hospital Bierley is seeking a confident, compassionate Social Worker Assistant to join our team. This full-time role offers 40 hours per week and a chance to progress your career within our mental health services.

We provide acute and low secure mental health care for adults, a recovery‑oriented approach, and strong multidisciplinary links; successful candidates will be paid £28,120 per year and undergo an enhanced DBS check.

Qualifications

• Experienced in working within a mental health setting.
• Knowledgeable of safeguarding, H&S, data protection, confidentiality, equality & diversity.
• An excellent communicator with exceptional interpersonal, IT & telephone skills.
• Aware of the Mental Health Act.
• Skilled in report writing with excellent literacy skills & attention to detail.

Responsabilités

• To assist the Social Workers to ensure that the discipline meets all the identified needs of the service users and (where appropriate) their families.
• Work in partnership with service users, families & other stakeholders
• Contribute to the provision of high-quality care for patients
• Forge links & maintain contact with other statutory agencies
• Lead on the social care needs of patients
• Ensure that patients & their families/carers are aware of their legal rights
• Ensure safeguarding in multidisciplinary teams & provide reports for MDTs & others.

Cygnet Hospital Bierley provides a range of acute and low secure mental health services for men and women. The hospital is set across four wards offering single-sex male and female specialist mental health services. All our services are provided under the umbrella of a recovery orientated approach and are reviewed through the CPA framework.
