The Role:

We’re looking for aSocial Video Producerto bring our personal finance brand to life on TikTok, YouTube, Instagram Reels, and other social platforms. If you're a video-first creator who loves scripting, filming, editing, and finding that perfect hook — this is your moment.

In this role, you’ll produce both short-form and long-form video content that informs, entertains, and drives real audience engagement. You’ll help us grow our brand presence, fuel our content strategy, and convert attention into measurable impact. If you’re just as comfortable in front of the camera as you are behind it — and if you stay one step ahead of meme culture — we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Do

• Film, edit, and publish short-form video content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts
• Work with a freelance editor to publish one long-form YouTube video per week
• Maintain and optimize YouTube uploads, including scripting, editing, thumbnails, metadata, and scheduling
• Maintain consistency in tone, voice, and style across all content
• Stay informed about current events in the U.S. and personal finance trends
• Monitor viral trends, meme cycles, and reactive opportunities to capitalize on
• Script short-form videos based on brand voice and audience interest
• Manage platform-specific posting calendars and use scheduling tools like Sprout Social or native apps
• Proactively execute 2–3 trend-driven content pieces monthly that support audience growth and monetization (e.g., affiliate clicks, email acquisition)
• Track and report content performance metrics and share insights with the team
• Collaborate closely with editors, writers, and designers on multimedia projects
• Support broader social media strategy efforts, including content for non-video platforms

What You Bring

• 2–5 years in a digital content production role, with a portfolio of social-first video work
• Strong scripting and storytelling chops for short- and long-form formats
• Hands-on editing experience using tools like CapCut, Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar
• Fluency in TikTok, YouTube, Instagram and a nose for what will go viral
• Strong visual instincts and ability to optimize titles, thumbnails, and tags
• Self-starter mentality with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines
• A phone with a great camera or your own setup ready to roll
• Bonus:Familiarity with meme culture, AI content tools, and personal finance content
• Note:While this role is remote and US-based, our headquarters are in Toronto, Canada and this role will require travel, as needed, to our Canadian office
