Qualifications

• Certificate required: New Jersey Standard Certificate, CE, or CEAS as deemed by NJDOE.

Responsibilities

• Plan a program of study meeting individual student needs and abilities.
• Evaluate student progress and prepare progress reports.
• Instruct students in citizenship and basic communications, per state laws and district procedures.
• Provide instruction for diverse learners with varying abilities.
• Establish and maintain standards of pupil behavior for an orderly environment.
• Develop instructional plans and balance class time for the curriculum.
• Engage in professional growth opportunities through in-service activities.
• Coordinate with aides and paraprofessionals as needed.
• Communicate with parents about student progress and development.
