Qualifications

• NJ Department of Education standard certificate, CE or CEAS required/acceptable as deemed by NJ Education site.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred unless stated otherwise.

Responsibilities

• Plans a program of study meeting students' needs, interests and abilities.
• Evaluates student progress and prepares progress reports.
• Instructs pupils in citizenship, basic communication skills and general course elements.
• Provides individual and small group instruction adapting curriculum to varying needs.
• Maintains standards of pupil behavior for an orderly environment.
• Coordinates work of aides and paraprofessionals.

Education

Bachelor's degree (preferred)

NJDOE certification (CE/CEAS)
