Northeast Kingdom Human Services (NKHS) is seeking a dynamic Behavior Interventionist for Barnet School in St. Johnsbury, VT. You will provide direct support to students, implement behavior plans, and work with school teams to promote positive outcomes.

The role emphasizes data-driven practice, crisis de-escalation, and collaboration with treatment providers, supervisors, and families, with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in human services, education, psychology or related field preferred and if not complete, progress within one year of hire.
• Experience in ABA (Applied Behavioral Analysis) preferred.
• Must have access to a personal vehicle to transport students as needed.

NKHS is seeking a dynamic Behavior Interventionist to join our School Based Services Team at Barnet School and make a lasting impact in the lives of students across our communities.

NKHS has over 500 employees providing case management, community and home supports, residential care, psychiatry, medication management, therapy, vocational supports, school based counseling, emergency care, and respite services. Primary Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to students focused on social skills development, self-regulation, and daily functioning

• Collaborate with school teams, supervisors, and treatment providersn
• Attend team meetings, supervision, and required trainings
• Support students in both school and community settings

Key Skills and Abilities

• Flexibility, patience and willingness to learn.
• Able to work independently and as a member of a team providing support to students unable to access their education due to emotional/behavior challenges.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in human services, education, psychology or related field preferred. If degree requirements are not complete, must be working toward completion within one year of being hired.
• Experience in ABA (Applied Behavioral Analysis) preferred
• Must have access to personal vehicle to transport students as needed.

SALARY & BENEFITS

• $22.25 - $27.19 per hour, depending upon education and experience
