Job summary

The City of Roseville’s Police Department – Social Services Unit invites motivated college students to join as interns for hands-on experience in outreach, case management, and crisis support. This paid internship is part-time and offers exposure to law enforcement and social work collaboration.

Supervision is provided by the Social Services Unit Supervisor, with a flexible Monday–Thursday schedule to accommodate class commitments and student needs.

Qualifications

• Effective methods of oral and written reports and presentations.
• Research techniques, methods, and procedures.
• Proficiency with word processing and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Community outreach, resource navigation, and mental health support.
• Respond to community needs with officers or supervision.
• Case management documentation, client tracking, data collection.
• Participate in unit meetings and inter-agency coordination.
