Job summary

The City of Roseville’s Roseville Police Department – Social Services Unit seeks motivated college students to join as Interns. This part‑time paid internship offers hands‑on experience in community outreach, case management, and crisis support.

Interns assist individuals facing homelessness and mental health needs while gaining exposure to law enforcement and social work integration. Duties include outreach, data entry, and inter‑agency coordination.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth (12th) grade.
• Current enrollment in six or more units toward a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Public Administration, Business Administration or a related field.
• A valid California driver’s license by date of appointment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with community outreach, resource navigation, advocacy and mental health support services.
• Respond to community needs alongside officers, social workers, and code enforcement or conduct supervised responses as assigned.
• Perform case management documentation, client tracking, data collection and office tasks.
