Job summary

Beauvais Rehab & Healthcare is a skilled nursing and rehabilitation community seeking an experienced Social Services Director to join our healthcare team and support high-quality patient care in a long-term care setting. This role emphasizes emotional and psychological support, documentation, and collaboration with nurses and other professionals.

The successful candidate will interview residents at admission, complete assessments, and engage residents in activities to enhance quality of life

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, mental health, healthcare, or human services.
• Strong communication, documentation, and resident support skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with nurses, psychologists, psychiatrists, and healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Provide emotional, psychological, rehabilitation, and resident support services under the direction of nursing and medical staff.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient condition, behavior, eating habits, and daily activities.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including nurses, psychologists, and psychiatrists.
• Interview residents upon admission and complete assessments and documentation.
• Participate in recreational and social activities with residents to encourage engagement and quality of life.
