Arcadia Care in Illinois is seeking a Social Services Assistant for a 12pm–4pm shift to support the Social Services Department in meeting the emotional and social needs of residents on an individual basis.

The role involves planning and directing activities within the department, helping to implement policies, and safeguarding residents' health and welfare in accordance with facility guidelines and regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a human services field is required.
• Minimum of one year supervised experience in mental health or human services preferred.
• Strong commitment to resident well-being and supportive care.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, implement, evaluate and direct the overall operation of the facility’s Social Services Department.
• Establish policies and procedures, and follow directions from the Administrator.
• Safeguard the health, safety, and welfare of residents in line with policies and applicable regulations.

Job Summary

The Social Services Assistant assists in the implementation of programs the Social Services Department, assuring that the medically related emotional and social needs of the resident are met/maintained on an individual basis.

Essential Duties

Qualifications

• An individual that possesses a bachelor’s degree in a human services field (including but not limited to sociology, special education, rehabilitation counseling or psychology).
