Job summary

Dept of Veterans Services in Virginia seeks a Counselor I at the Puller Veterans Care Center to support residents through comprehensive social services.

You will understand how social policies affect daily life, advocate for residents' rights, participate in interdisciplinary care conferences, and help residents access community resources with dignity and independence.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field.
  • 1 year of long-term care experience.
  • Willingness to pass criminal background check.
  • Citizenship or work authorization as required by the Commonwealth.

Job Duties

Minimum Qualifications
  • College graduate with a Bachelors in Social Work or other human services related field.
  • 1 year of Long-term care experience
