Job summary

Envive Healthcare in Beech Grove, Indiana is seeking a Director of Social Services to lead program development for adult and geriatric residents. You will plan services aligned with therapeutic and dementia-related needs, and evaluate admissions to determine suitability for placement.

The role requires knowledge of social work practice in long-term care and a minimum of one year in the field; BSW/MSW or related degree is preferred to support program leadership.

Qualifications

• At least one year experience in Social Work field is required.
• BSW or MSW or Bachelor’s degree in related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge of age specific developmental factors specific to adult and geriatric residents in planning social services programs.
• Demonstrates knowledge, skills, and techniques necessary to plan social services programs for residents with needs including therapeutic, neurological and dementia, dialysis, IV therapy, and infectious diseases if applicable.
• Promptly follows-up on admission inquiries, evaluates and assesses the needs of prospective residents to determine appropriateness of facility placement.

• Demonstrates knowledge, skills, and techniques necessary to plan social services programs for residents with the following needs: therapeutic, neurological and dementia, dialysis, IV therapy, and infectious diseases if applicable
• Promptly follows-up on admission inquiries, evaluates and assesses the needs of prospective residents to determine appropriateness of facility placement

Director of Social Services Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience as a Director of Social Work in a large LTC setting preferred
• BSW or MSW preferred, or Bachelors degree in related field
• At least one year experience in Social Work field required
