Job summary

University of St. Thomas invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Social Psychology starting Fall 2027.

The successful candidate will teach 5–6 courses yearly, including Social Psychology and an upper-level lab, with flexible delivery in-person, online, and hybrid formats. Beyond teaching, the role includes student advising, research mentoring, maintaining an active scholarship agenda, and collaborating with colleagues to strengthen the program.

Qualifications

• PhD in Social Psychology or related field (or ABD nearing completion) with strong teaching potential.
• Experience mentoring undergraduates in research and/or applied inquiry.
• Ability to design inclusive, engaging pedagogy and mentor diverse student populations.

Responsibilities

• Teach 5–6 courses per academic year, including Social Psychology and an upper-level lab.
• Provide student advising and research mentoring; maintain an active scholarship agenda.
