Job summary

Cornerstone University is seeking an enthusiastic Social Media & Video Content Coordinator to join the Marketing & Communications team on a full-time basis in Grand Rapids, MI. You will create engaging video content, manage social media channels, and capture campus life to tell the Cornerstone story.

The role requires collaboration with multiple campus departments to highlight academic programs, athletics, and student life.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience managing social media platforms and creating content for an organization, brand, or personal projects.
• Background in photography and/or videography with a desire to work in both areas.
• Proficiency in video editing software (such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro) and graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
• Strong communication skills and an eye for compelling visuals and storytelling.

Responsibilities

• Social Media Management: Develop and implement social media strategies across platforms to increase engagement and audience.
• Campus Photography: Capture and edit photos for social channels, website, and graphic design use.
• Video Content Creation: Film and edit short-form videos for social channels and campus storytelling.
• Event Coverage: Cover campus events during nights and weekends and post real-time updates.
• Community Engagement: Interact with followers and foster a positive online presence.
• Collaborative Projects: Work with departments across campus to highlight programs, athletics, and student organizations.
