Description du poste

The Social Media Strategist is responsible for the thinking behind Naturepedic's social presence: what the data says, what the culture is talking about, and what the brand should do next. Naturepedic is a high-end organic sleep brand offering mattresses, bedding, and sleep accessories for the entire family, from baby's first crib mattress to the parents' bed, sold through e-commerce, retail stores, and wholesale partners.

Naturepedic is a family-operated company that began with a simple question: what is my baby actually sleeping on? That question became a mission to make truly safe, certified organic sleep products for every stage of life. Today the brand gives back through programs like 1% for the Planet, and it shows up on social as a trusted, warm, science-backed voice for parents and families.

This role ensures Naturepedic's social content is driven by insight, not habit. The Strategist leads analytics, market and trend research, and ideation, and owns the content calendar from concept to publish, building, scheduling, and delegating content to keep the team moving .

Reporting to the Social Media Manager and serving as their strategic partner and second-in-command, the Strategist guides the Social Media Specialist and works closely with brand, creative, partnerships, and e-commerce teams.

Success in this role is measured by stronger performance across channels, a more varied and timely content mix, and a team that consistently knows why it's making what it makes.

The Perfect Candidate
  • Data-driven — reads analytics with confidence and turns numbers into a clear story and recommendation.
  • Culturally fluent — always knows what's trending, which creators matter, and what peer and aspirational brands are doing.
  • Brand-minded — knows when Naturepedic should jump on a moment and how to do it in the brand's voice.
  • Creative — pushes past the familiar into new formats, video, and ideas that stop the scroll.
  • Leadership-minded — guides and develops specialists with clear direction and constructive feedback.
  • Proactive communicator — closes loops, keeps partners and colleagues updated, and never leaves a request hanging.
  • Organized — balances ongoing research and reporting with fast-moving campaign and trend work.
  • Adaptable — thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment where priorities shift.
  • Relationship builder — connects easily with creators, partners, and cross-functional teams, and enjoys representing Naturepedic in person at events, shoots, and activations.
Key Responsibilities
Content Ideation, Creation & Publishing
  • Own the social content calendar across all channels, planning, building, and scheduling posts to keep a consistent, on-brand cadence.
  • Ideate and build content hands-on, including carousels, short-form video, trend-driven posts, and Stories, using Canva, CapCut, and scheduling tools.
  • Delegate content ideas and builds to the Social Media Specialist, providing clear direction, feedback, and deadlines to keep production moving.
  • Write captions and copy that reflect Naturepedic's voice and education-first approach.
  • Serve as the final quality check before content goes live, ensuring accuracy, brand consistency, and strategic alignment.
  • Coordinate with design, creative, and paid social to keep assets, timelines, and handoffs on track.
  • Expand Naturepedic's presence on newer channels, including Pinterest and YouTube.
Analytics & Performance

Market & Trend Research
  • Conduct ongoing research on platform trends, cultural moments, creators, and competitor and aspirational brands.
  • Bring a steady flow of actionable ideas to the team weekly.

  • Shape the content mix and formats based on insights, expanding beyond education-led carousels into video, trends, and new formats.
  • Lead brainstorms and ideation sessions with the social team.
  • Partner with the Social Media Manager on quarterly social strategy and campaign planning.
Team Guidance
  • Guide the day-to-day creative and strategic direction of the Social Media Specialist alongside the Social Media Manager.
  • Mentor specialist and support their growth and accountability.

  • Support influencer, creator, and brand partnership work with strategic input.
  • Support social storytelling for Naturepedic's charitable giving and mission-driven programs.
Team Coverage
  • Provide coverage during team absences, peak campaign periods, and time-sensitive trend moments, including community management as needed.
  • Model the standard for execution so strategy and day‑day output stay connected.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field preferred. Candidates with comparable professional experience are encouraged to apply.
  • 1–3 years of experience in social media, with at least 1–2 years focused on strategy and analytics.

  • Experience guiding, mentoring, or managing others.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in wellness, baby/parenting, home, sustainability, or mission‑driven brands is a plus.
  • This is a full‑time, hybrid role based in the Cleveland area. Team members in this role are expected to work in‑office one day a week to support collaboration, content planning, and cross‑functional work, with the remainder of the week remote.
  • Regular collaboration with the social, creative, and marketing teams is required, including in‑person planning sessions, analytics reviews, and brainstorms. Candidates should be comfortable being on top of real‑time platform activity and moving quickly when a moment calls for it.
  • This role requires travel for content shoots, events, brand activations, and partner initiatives. Travel is estimated at up to 15% and may vary based on campaign and event schedules.

  • Consistent bi‑weekly analytics reviews that lead to clear content decisions.
  • A consistent, on‑brand publishing cadence with content delivered on time across all channels.
  • Measurable growth in engagement, reach, and follower quality across channels.
  • A more varied content mix, with timely trend participation and stronger video presence.
  • A Specialist who is clearly directed, growing, and producing more strategic work.
  • Trusted partnership with the Social Media Manager and cross‑functional teams.
