Job Summary:
Our US-based client is seeking a creative, strategic, and self-motivated Instagram Content Manager to elevate our social media presence and strengthen our connection with photographers and creatives. This role is ideal for someone who lives and breathes Instagram—from crafting compelling reels and carousels to engaging meaningfully with our community in DMs and comments. You’ll be responsible for planning and executing a consistent, high-quality content calendar that reflects the company's brand voice, builds trust, and drives engagement. This role is perfect for a warm, proactive communicator who thrives in a remote, fast-paced environment and is passionate about helping creatives grow thriving businesses.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Consistent & Strategic Posting: Plan, create, and schedule one high-quality Instagram post per day and at least 3 engaging stories per day, including timely resharing of tagged content. Content should reflect the company's brand voice and appeal to photographers and creatives.
  • Community Engagement: Actively engage with photographers who interact with us—responding to DMs, comments, and tags quickly and thoughtfully to build trust, spark conversations, and strengthen brand connection.
  • Proactive, Self-Directed Execution: Operate with autonomy and initiative. This role doesn’t require close management—you're expected to spot opportunities, jump on trends, and bring creative ideas forward without being asked.
  • Fluent Communication & Collaboration: Communicate clearly in both written and spoken English. Work effectively with a global team, using your understanding of photographers and creatives to create content that drives engagement and supports our growth goals.
Requirements:
  • 2 years of professional experience managing Instagram content—including posts, reels, and stories—for a brand or business.
  • Ability to plan and execute a consistent content calendar, with attention to detail, visual appeal, and brand alignment.
  • Experience building and engaging with online communities, especially in creative or service-based industries.
  • Comfort using tools like Instagram Insights, Canva, Planoly/Later, and Slack to manage content, track performance, and collaborate with a remote team.
  • Strong written communication skills, with the ability to write in a warm, clear, and conversational tone that resonates with creatives.
  • Ability to self-manage and take initiative: They’ll be working independently and asynchronously with our team, so we’re looking for someone who thrives in a self-directed environment and can keep things running smoothly without a lot of oversight.
As a plus:
  • Experience working with photographers or creative entrepreneurs.
  • Familiarity with managing social accounts for a SaaS or subscription-based company.
  • Ability to create simple reels or stories from raw content using mobile editing tools.
  • Confident navigating DMs, comments, and tags in a timely and engaging way.
  • An eye for aesthetics, composition, and consistent brand visuals.

Note: This role does not have fixed working hours; the employee will be working independently and asynchronously with the team. Eastern Time is preferred for overlap, but is flexible.
