We're seeking a creative and motivated Social Media Specialist to join our hybrid team. This full-time position is designed for a college senior (or recent grad) in the NYC/New Jersey area who’s passionate about digital storytelling and looking to transition into a full-time role. If you have a strong creative background and want hands‑on experience building engaging social media content, we want to hear from you.

Location & Schedule

• Location: Hybrid (must be based in NYC/New Jersey area)
• Schedule: Full‑Time, Salaried w/ Benefits, PTO, Flex Schedule, etc.
• Duration: Ongoing

What You’ll Do

• Create eye‑catching graphics, animations, and visual content for our social media channels (Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Twitter/X)
• Assist in developing and executing social media campaigns that drive engagement and brand awareness
• Capture and edit photography and video content for various platforms
• Help maintain our social media calendar and schedule posts across multiple platforms
• Monitor social media trends and suggest creative ways to incorporate them into our strategy
• Engage with our online community by responding to comments and messages
• Track analytics and provide insights on content performance
• Collaborate with the marketing team on web content updates and digital assets
• Contribute fresh ideas for content series and campaigns

What We’re Looking For

Required

• Currently a senior pursuing a bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Digital Media, or related field
• Background or coursework in one or more of the following: graphics/design, web development, photography, or animation
• Portfolio demonstrating creative work (design projects, photography, animations, or personal social media content)
• Strong understanding of major social media platforms and their best practices
• Proficiency in design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Figma, or similar)
• Self‑motivated with strong time‑management abilities
• Exceptional project management and collaboration skills

Bonus Points

• Experience with video editing software (Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut)
• Knowledge of HTML/CSS or other web development skills
• Experience managing social media accounts (personal brand or for organizations/clubs)
• Familiarity with social media management tools (Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social)
• Understanding of SEO and social media analytics
