The ideal candidate will develop and manage engaging content across Release’s brands, grow our online presence, and help tell the stories that reflect our mission. This role combines content creation, audience engagement, and performance analysis to strengthen our digital presence and support key marketing initiatives.

At Release Recovery, we redefine recovery as a journey of growth—not what you give up, but what you gain, build, and create. We are committed to helping individuals thrive through compassionate, individualized care.

Joining our team means becoming part of a mission-driven organization where your work has a meaningful impact. If you’re passionate about storytelling, digital marketing, and creating content that makes a difference, we’d love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media Strategy & Content

  • Develop and execute social media strategies across Release’s brands.
  • Build and maintain content calendars and platform-specific campaigns.
  • Create, publish, and repurpose engaging content, including graphics, videos, reels, podcasts, and other digital media.
  • Identify trends and opportunities to expand reach and increase engagement.
  • Ensure consistent brand messaging and voice across all platforms.

Community Engagement & Brand Growth

  • Manage day-to-day social media activity, including audience engagement, comments, and direct messages.
  • Support marketing initiatives, fundraising campaigns, educational programming, podcast promotion, speaking engagements, and company events.
  • Coordinate photography, videography, and event coverage while maintaining an organized content library.
  • Build relationships with online communities and strengthen audience engagement across all brands.

Analytics & Performance

  • Monitor and analyze social media performance, including audience growth, engagement, reach, video performance, and campaign effectiveness.
  • Prepare regular performance reports and provide recommendations to improve results.
  • Utilize analytics and industry best practices to optimize content strategy and overall digital performance.

Competencies

  • Strong written communication and storytelling skills.
  • Understanding of platform-specific social media best practices and emerging trends.
  • Ability to create engaging, mission-driven content for multiple audiences.
  • Ability to manage multiple brands and projects while meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to use data and analytics to inform content strategy and decision-making.
  • Strong creativity, organization, professionalism, and attention to detail.
  • Video editing and graphic design skills.

Other Requirements

  • Ability to attend events and capture content outside of standard business hours as needed.
  • Occasional travel to Release Recovery facilities, community events, and speaking engagements.
  • Ability to lift and transport basic photo/video equipment as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Digital Media, or a related field preferred.
  • Two or more years of professional experience managing social media for an organization or brand.
  • Experience creating short-form video content and using major social media platforms.
  • Proficiency with social media management, scheduling, and analytics tools preferred.
  • Photography, videography, or basic graphic design experience is a plus.

Joining our team means being part of a mission-driven organization redefining how the world views and treats substance use and mental health. At Release, recovery is about growth, connection, and long-term transformation.

When you join our team, you will:

  • Work alongside respected thought leaders in the recovery space
  • Make a direct, meaningful impact on individuals and families
  • Receive compensation commensurate with experience ($60,000 - $70,000)
  • Be eligible for health, dental, and vision benefits (full-time employees)

We believe recovery is a journey, not a destination, and we’re committed to shaping that journey with intention, care, and innovation.
