Job description

We are an early stage, high growth start-up called, MediaKits -- MediaKits.com is a simple and easy to use platform for influencers, bloggers, and musicians to create a custom media kit online with real-time data and analytics. We are building a company culture of hard working individuals who are passionate about the creator economy.

Your role as the Social Media Specialist will be to develop content for the needs of digital campaigns and to maintain a social presence across platforms. You will work closely with the marketing team to ensure the success of campaigns and social presence of the company. The ideal candidate will have experience working across the social landscape, monitoring sentiment, copywriting and flagging/engaging in internet moments.

Responsibilities:

Create, plan, and maintain a content calendar

Manage all social media platforms

Create, promote, and repurpose content in multiple ways across multiple channels – Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, and TikTok

Maintain a positive brand image and reputation on social media while building a strong and engaged community

Develop, execute, and track digital campaigns and events

Collaborate with team to create effective marketing and sales funnels

Create and maintain systems, processes, and policies

Identify key trends, leverage for success, and possess detailed knowledge of social platforms

Report timely observations on social media trends and conversations back to management and editorial shareholders

Use analytics and trends to help develop and optimize the overall community management strategy

Ideate & create original, compelling social content that fits our voice, and engages our audience in meaningful ways

Leverage our community using key dates on social and editorial calendars, assisting with the strategy, and development of new ideas

Develop a content marketing plan and editorial calendar while continuously staying up-to-date and in the know on all things social & highlights in the creator economy

Find new marketing and outreach opportunities to push brand image and products

Work with social and editorial teams to ensure accurate brand representation in responses and sentiment reports

Qualifications/Requirements:

Strong attention to detail and highly organized

Clear, concise communication skills

Ability to prioritize and manage complex projects from start to finish

Build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, and audience identification

Generate, edit, publish and share daily content that builds meaningful connections

Optimize company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of company’s social content

Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information

Collaborate with marketing team to manage reputation, identify key players and coordinate actions

Excellent consulting, writing, editing (photo/video/text), presentation and communication skills

Demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge

Knowledge of online marketing and good understanding of major marketing channels

Constant and timely responses to all comments, requests and from the community on all platforms

Exceptional writing skills and a sharp wit for brand-appropriate social copy or pop culture relevant community responses that align with the MediaKits voice

Job Type : Full-time

Pay : $55,000 - $85,000 per year depending on experience
