Smalls Sliders in Wichita is seeking a creative Social Media Marketing Intern to help grow our brand across Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook. You’ll craft content, shoot and edit short-form videos, and engage with followers while staying on-brand.

This part-time, contractor role offers hands-on experience, creative freedom to pitch ideas, and the chance to see how content translates into orders and restaurant traffic. Compensation is $20 per hour with a flexible schedule around class commitments.

Qualifications

• Current college student or recent graduate in marketing, communications, or content creation.
• Understanding of Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook.
• Willingness to shoot and edit short-form videos on a smartphone.

Responsabilités

• Create engaging content featuring our sliders, fries, drinks, team, and promotions.
• Shoot and edit short-form videos for Reels and TikTok.
• Identify trending sounds, memes, and formats that fit the brand.
• Plan and publish posts across social media accounts.
• Capture mouthwatering food photography and videos to drive visits and online orders.
• Develop creative content around promotions, new items, and seasonal campaigns.
• Monitor comments and messages to maintain a friendly brand voice.

Smalls Sliders is looking for a creative, social-media-savvy intern to help grow our brand and connect with customers across Wichita. We want someone who knows what makes people stop scrolling, loves creating content, and is excited to turn fresh ideas into engaging social media posts.
If you’re always spotting the latest trends, enjoy making videos, and know how to make content people want to share, we want to meet you!

What You’ll Do

• Create Social Media Content:Develop fun, engaging content featuring our sliders, fries, specialty drinks, team, and promotions.
• Shoot Videos & Reels:Capture and edit short-form videos for Instagram Reels, TikTok, Facebook Reels, and other platforms.
• Stay on Top of Trends:Identify trending sounds, memes, formats, and social media ideas that fit the Smalls Sliders brand.
• Manage Social Media Posts:Help plan a content calendar and consistently publish posts across our social media accounts.
• Show Off Our Food:Create mouthwatering food photography and videos that make people want to visit or order online.
• Promote Specials & Offers:Develop creative content around promotions, new menu items, seasonal campaigns, and special events.
• Engage With Our Audience:Help monitor comments, messages, and customer engagement while maintaining a friendly, on-brand voice.
• Bring Fresh Ideas:Pitch creative campaigns, challenges, giveaways, and other ways to grow our audience and increase engagement.
• Track Results:Monitor views, reach, engagement, follower growth, and other metrics to understand what content performs best.

What We’re Looking For

• A current college student or recent graduate interested in social media, marketing, communications, or content creation.
• Someone who genuinely understands Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook.
• Creative, outgoing, and comfortable coming up with new ideas.
• Comfortable shooting and editing short-form videos using a smartphone.
• Familiarity with Canva and video editing apps such as CapCut is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Organized and dependable, with the ability to plan and meet deadlines.
• Someone who takes initiative, follows trends, and can work independently.

Bonus points:Share examples of social media content you’ve created, whether for a personal account, a school organization, a previous job, or a business.
