Job summary

The University of New Mexico on campus in Albuquerque, NM, is seeking a Social Media Marketing Intern to support Popejoy Hall's events and campaigns. This student role focuses on creating engaging digital content and promoting performances through storytelling.

Responsibilities include managing Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook content, capturing photos/videos at events, drafting captions, and assisting with posters and outreach activities on campus.

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in a degree-seeking program at UNM and enrolled at least half-time (6 hours) for fall and spring semesters.
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and current social media trends.
  • Experience with CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design/editing tools is a plus.

  • Represent Popejoy Hall at on- and off-campus outreach events and tabling opportunities to promote performances and educational programs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Working at Popejoy Hall, this position will focus on creating engaging digital content, supporting social media strategy, and promoting Popejoy Hall events through creative storytelling.

  • Assist with creating, scheduling, and publishing engaging content for Popejoy Hall's social media platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook.
  • Capture photo and video content during performances, events, and outreach programs for use across digital channels.
  • Assist with writing and developing social media campaigns that increase awareness and engagement for upcoming performances and educational initiatives.

Qualifications
  • Enrolled in a degreeseeking program at UNM, enrolled at least half‑time (6 hours) at UNM for falland spring semesters (Audit hours do not count), and if Work Study, you mustmeet Satisfactory Academic Progress.
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and current social media trends.
  • Experience creating photo, video, or graphic content for social media is preferred.
  • Experience with CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design/editing tools is a plus.
  • Interest in marketing, communications, digital media, or the performing arts is a plus.
