Job summary

The role focuses on growing followers, aligning with trends, and driving ROI through on-trend messaging. You will monitor campaigns and glean insights from social data to guide strategy year over year.

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of significant experience leading a brand's social media marketing.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or related field.
  • Proficiency with scheduling tools, design/editing software, and marketing analytics.
  • Strong copywriting, visual aesthetics, crisis management, and cross-department collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

  • Strategy and planning: develop and implement social media strategies and campaigns (organic and paid).
  • Content creation: produce, edit, and schedule written, visual, and short-form video content for platforms like Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, and X.
  • Community management: respond to comments/messages and manage online interactions to grow followers.
  • Analytics & reporting: track KPIs and use insights to improve social strategy.
  • Trend monitoring: stay current with platform algorithms and emerging online trends.

We strive to create better-protected communities of responsible self-defenders who have the peace of mind to live their lives confidently. Our company was established in 2009. After initially launching in Texas as Texas LawShield, the demand for services developed well beyond state lines. Our coverage began to expand across the United States, which is when we became U.S. LawShield. Today, we provide coverage in 46 states and have proudly served more than 2 million people in their self-defense journey.

U.S. LawShield Institute is eager to connect with new audiences and engage our existing base through compelling social media initiatives. We're seeking a social media manager to help us expand our digital footprint and oversee our social communications efforts. They will develop and implement informed content strategies tailored to the strengths of various social media platforms to increase brand awareness and affinity. In doing so, the social media manager will maximize customer engagement with U.S. LawShield Institute's services, thereby helping us to accomplish our goals year over year.

Role Objectives
  • Increase engagement for existing audiences with high-quality social initiatives
  • Acquire new followers by filling gaps in our marketing content output
  • Align our brand with new and emerging trends
  • Improve ROI through more consistently on-trend messaging
  • Identify new channels to embed our brand that align our marketing direction
  • Glean insights from social data using monitoring tools
Core Responsibilities
  • Strategy and planning: develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies and campaigns (organic and paid) to meet business objectives.
  • Content Creation; Produce, edit, and schedule engaging written, visual, and short-form video content tailored to specific platforms like Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, and X.
  • Community Management: Foster brand loyalty by monitoring channels, responding to comments and direct messages, and managing online interactions. Become an extension of the company’s brand to connect with existing customers and acquire new ones.
  • Analytics & Reporting: Track KPIs (e.g., reach, engagement rates, conversions) and utilize social listening to generate actionable reports for stakeholders. Analyze the company’s social strategy to make frequent improvement suggestions.
  • Trend Monitoring: Stay current with platform algorithms, emerging online trends, and digital tools
Requirements & Qualifications
  • Experience: 2-5 years of significant experience leading a brand's social media marketing, digital communications, and content creation.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with scheduling tools, design/editing software, and marketing analytics.
  • Soft skills: excellent copywriting abilities, a keen eye for visual aesthetics, strong crisis management skills, and cross-departmental collaboration capabilities. Strong multi-tasking capabilities under pressure and effective time-management skills a must.
