Toward in New York is looking for a motivated Social Media Intern to help manage and grow their online presence. You will write engaging content, create visuals, and research health trends while working between 10 and 15 hours per week. This role offers both remote and in-office options, with mentorship from a physician. Ideal candidates are recent graduates or current students in relevant fields with strong communication skills and a passion for health and nutrition.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a college program in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Understanding of key social media platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
• Familiarity with analytics tools and basic graphic design skills.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Social Media Intern with a strong understanding of nutrition and exercise. The ideal candidate has multi-state certifications and a deep knowledge of Low Carb, Keto, and Carnivore diets to help clients maximize performance, fat loss, and overall health.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and scheduling social media posts using our content calendar
• Write engaging captions and adapt messaging for each platform
• Clip short-form video content from podcasts, webinars, and live talks
• Create graphics and visuals using Canva or similar tools
• Monitor social engagement, comments, and analytics
• Research current trends in metabolic health, nutrition, and longevity
• Support influencer outreach and partnerships

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a college program in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Health Sciences, or related field
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Understanding of key social media platforms (Instagram, X/Twitter, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube)
• Familiarity with analytics tools (Meta Business Suite, Buffer, or similar)
• Basic graphic design and video editing skills (Canva, CapCut, Adobe Express, etc.)
• Ability to research and translate health and wellness topics into engaging posts
• Detail-oriented, organized, and reliable with time management
• Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Passion for health, wellness, nutrition, or metabolic medicine
• Available 10–15 hours per week (remote or hybrid)

Throughout your career at Toward Health, you will be expected to follow Toward Health’s security and privacy procedures to ensure our patients’ information remains strictly confidential. Security and privacy training will be provided.

Toward Health has an experience based compensation structure. Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.
