Magna Legal Services is seeking a Social Media Intelligence Analyst to join our team. You will help verify or disprove claims in lawsuits and insurance claims by examining social media, using OSINT techniques, and performing deep internet searches.

The role favors candidates with experience in legal discovery or social media investigations, who are tech-savvy and capable of working independently or with a team. This position offers growth toward Private Investigator credentials.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Criminal Justice, Psychology, Communications, etc.
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience (i.e., working as an investigator, a paralegal or law clerk, an investigative reporter, law enforcement, etc.) is preferred.
• In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, an associate’s degree with at least 3 years of relevant work experience, and with a current private investigator’s license and/or certifications in Social Media/Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) may be considered.
• Must be tech savvy and a regular user on multiple social media platforms.
• Must be comfortable working independently and collaborating with team members.

Position Summary:

Magna Legal Services is seeking a Social Media Intelligence Analyst to join our team! In this role, you will assist us in helping to either verify or disprove the claims that the other side is making in their lawsuit/insurance claim. In other words, you will be using social media to search for the truth, whatever it may be. Our ideal candidate will be an experienced social media user who is tech savvy, with relevant experience in the legal field. Strong preference will be given to anyone who has experience with social media investigations, open source searching and/or experience with the legal discovery process. Additionally, this position can help you qualify to become a licensed Private Investigator; if you are not one already, and if that is something that you’re interested in pursuing.

$22 - $27 an hour

An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees.
