Job summary

Spirit Halloween is seeking a social media assistant to support day-to-day operations across Spencer’s, Spirit Halloween, and Spirit Christmas. You’ll help ideate, create content, manage communities, and execute campaigns to grow the brand’s reputation and engagement across platforms.

The ideal candidate is creative, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment, with 1–2 years of relevant social media experience and proficiency in CapCut, Canva, and Adobe Express.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field with 1–2 years of relevant experience
• Experience managing social media pages and creating/curating digital content across multiple platforms
• Proficiency with CapCut, Canva, Adobe Express and platform-native editors (Instagram Reels, TikTok, etc.)
• Familiarity with social media management/listening tools such as Emplifi, Meltwater, or Sprinklr preferred
• Familiarity with retail environments and a fast-paced, high-growth business
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail
• Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple high-volume projects
• Ability to lift 25+ lbs., reliable transportation, travel up to 25%

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day management of social media channels for Spencer’s, Spirit Halloween, and Spirit Christmas, ensuring consistent and timely execution across all three brands
• Brainstorm, concept, capture, create, and edit engaging organic and paid social content across video, static, carousel, and story formats
• Manage the end-to-end social publishing workflow, including scheduling content, calendars, approvals, and timely posting
• Monitor trends and translate opportunities into timely, brand-appropriate content and activations
• Draft compelling, on-brand social copy that supports campaign goals and drives audience engagement
• Support community management by replying to comments and messages and assisting store teams online
• Assist with social reporting, performance tracking, and monitoring platform updates
• Support influencer marketing initiatives, including sourcing content, permissions, outreach, and campaign documentation
• Attend and support photo/video shoots and assist with social media and marketing initiatives
• Collaborate with teammates to execute projects on time, adjust to priorities, and escalate issues as needed
