Job summary

NewSchool in San Diego, CA, seeks a Social Media Assistant / Student Worker to support day-to-day social media and marketing goals. You will help develop content, monitor brand voice, and engage with student perspectives across platforms.

You will assist with student-driven takeovers, collaborate with the Marketing Team and other account owners, and help create engaging posts that highlight student life and projects. Strong writing, design sense, and platform familiarity are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum 3.0 CGPA (or higher) to be eligible.
• Must be enrolled as a student and eligible for a student worker position.

Responsibilities

• Develop regular social media content and a monthly content calendar.
• Conduct social listening and competitive analysis, sharing insights with Marketing.
• Assist with student-led social media takeovers.
• Coordinate with other NewSchool social media accounts.
• Document student life events and share recaps.
• Share student projects on social platforms.
• Support marketing events with social promos, prints, setup, and photography.
