Job summary

Los Angeles Tourism & Convention Board is hiring a Senior Manager, Social Media & Content Production. The role is hands-on, writing, shooting, editing, and publishing content while shaping the city’s voice across global channels.

You will manage a social calendar, collaborate with agencies and creators, and nurture community engagement to grow audiences. The ideal candidate brings 4–5 years of social media experience and strong writing/editing skills.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years of hands-on social media/content experience for lifestyle, entertainment, sports, or consumer brands.
• Must possess and maintain a current, valid driver’s license and be able to drive for work-related travel.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day management of LA Tourism’s global social media platforms (6M+ followers), including in-market content capture, editing, posting, and community management.
• Co-develop program-level social strategies with Creative Director and execute content creation hands-on using freelancers and influencers year-round.
• Produce and publish original content for all social channels and drive traffic to the website to meet goals.
• Maintain a bi-weekly social media editorial calendar and manage community engagement daily.
• Partner with advertising agencies to align paid/organic content and optimize performance.
• Support broader brand campaigns by translating ideas into social-ready content and publishing plans.
• Execute partner and ad sales deliverables and provide KPI insights.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
