Fair Grounds Race Course & Slots in New Orleans seeks a Social Media Intern to support the Marketing Department during the live racing meet by producing engaging digital content that highlights racing, gaming, events, and guest experiences.

The role involves creating content for platforms, filming, interviewing guests and jockeys, writing captions, and assisting with real-time event coverage while collaborating on content calendars and promotional campaigns.

Qualifications

Familiarity with Instagram Reels, TikTok, Facebook, and short-form video content required.

Responsibilities

Capture and create content for social platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, and others.
Film, photograph, edit, and publish social media posts, reels, videos, and stories.
Conduct on-camera and off-camera interviews with guests, team members, jockeys, trainers, entertainers, and other featured personalities.
Write engaging and brand-appropriate captions and social media copy.
Assist with real-time event coverage during live racing and special events.
Monitor social media trends and help develop creative content ideas.
Always maintain a professional and positive representation of the Fair Grounds brand.
Monitor social media channels and respond professionally and appropriately to comments, messages, and interactions in a timely manner.
Work collaboratively with the Marketing team on content calendars and promotional campaigns.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
