Job Description

The Social Marketing Analyst intern supports the True Markets social and content program day to day: drafting and scheduling posts, clipping long-form video into short-form content, tracking how it performs, and pulling the weekly read on what worked. The internship is built around ownership of a real channel or content series rather than shadowing, with direct mentorship from the marketing team.

Responsibilities

• Draft, schedule, and publish posts across X, TikTok, and other channels on the content calendar.
• Clip and caption long-form video — podcasts, interviews, product demos — into short-form content.
• Track reach, engagement, and follower growth, and compile the weekly performance summary.
• Research trends, competitor accounts, and creator content, and report back on what is working and why.
• Support creator briefs and campaign production.
• Maintain the content calendar and asset library.
• Assist with event promotion and community engagement.
• Draft supporting copy for email, landing pages, and app store listings.

Required Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program, or graduated within the past 12 months.
• Active, fluent user of X and TikTok with a real sense of what performs and why.
• Strong writing — can draft a post in brand voice and take an edit without ego.
• Comfortable in a spreadsheet: pulling numbers, building a summary, spotting a trend.
• AI-native: uses Claude or comparable tools daily, with strong instincts for when to trust output and when to verify it.
• Reliable and self-directed, and asks early rather than stalling.

Ideal Qualifications

• Short‑form video editing — CapCut, Premiere, Descript, or similar.
• Basic design fluency in Figma or Canva.
• Interest in crypto, trading, or fintech, from coursework or personal use.
• Has grown an account of their own and can point to what moved it.
• Familiarity with platform analytics or a product analytics tool.
• Experience with a content calendar or scheduling tool.
• Coursework in marketing, communications, journalism, or data.

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly rate: $25 – $35 per hour
• Based in our New York City office
• Direct mentorship from the marketing team
