Job summary

Tractenberg & Co. is seeking an experienced graphic designer/photographer to ideate and execute visuals for social media in beauty and wellness brands.

You will plan monthly content calendars with account managers, build shot lists, and shoot content for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and more. Responsibilities include editing, retouching, and designing final content, ensuring brand guidelines are followed, and keeping up with platform specs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of work experience with videography.
• 3+ years of work experience with beauty photography.
• 3-5 years of experience in graphic design or social content creation.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects).
• Experience with Canva and CapCut is a plus.

Company Description

Tractenberg & Co., a premier boutique communications and social media firm serving the beauty and wellness industries, is searching for an experienced graphic designer/photographer with deep creativity in ideating and executing visuals and managing external assignments for social media and digital content (primarily on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok & possibly Pinterest) for multiple well-known beauty and wellness brands.

Role Description:

Partner with account managers to plan monthly social content calendars, building shot lists and executing photo/video shoots for assigned clients, including travel as needed.

Edit, retouch, and design final content (photo, video, and graphics) for client social use and internal needs, ensuring brand guidelines are followed.

Stay current on platform specs and engagement trends (dimensions, formats, best practices across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.) and apply them to content planning

Work directly with clients to gather assets and information for email campaigns, social campaigns, and special projects; support PR creative needs like mailers and event graphics

Source, hire, brief, and manage external creators (photographers, editors, retouchers, illustrators) when budget allows, partnering with account directors to manage creative budgets

Own creative asset organization and storage across clients in Dropbox, including consistent naming/folder structure and tracking of third-party licensing/usage rights

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in graphic design or social content creation
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator, + Aftereffect
• Proficient in social editing tools such as Canva and CapCut
• Creative thinker with a keen eye for design that pushes boundaries and the ability to bring fresh ideas to the table
• Good understanding of social media trends and visuals; prior experience creating social content is a plus
• Possesses a strong attention to detail, ability to establish priorities, and meet deadlines
• Capable of working in a fast-paced environment with strong multitasking ability
• Ideally, has an existing network of creatives to contract for projects
• Ability to be client-facing across multiple brands; past client experience is a plus but not necessary
