Job summary

Commonplace is a NYC-based payments and delivery marketplace hiring a Social & Content Marketing Lead to own the organic social presence end-to-end. This is a hands-on role: you’ll edit, respond in the comments, on set, and on camera.

You’ll manage Instagram and TikTok, build a calendar around inventory and launches, coordinate filming days, and report performance. Hybrid in Flatiron with flexible in-person collaboration.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years managing organic social & community for a brand or creator.
• Portfolio required to apply.
• Native to Instagram and TikTok; explain why certain content performs.
• Able to spot cultural moments and fit Commonplace in them.
• Creative and analytical; willing to test ideas.
• Independent with minimal hand-holding.
• Fluency with AI tools (Claude, Grok Bot, Codex).
• Comfortable in front of and behind the camera.
• Experience sourcing/briefing creators or UGC partners is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set direction for formats, series, cadence and produce content.
• Own content calendar and posting cadence for Instagram and TikTok; repurpose to other platforms.
• Coordinate filming days and manage video editor or cut short-form content oneself.
• Coordinate branded behind-the-scenes content including testimonials.
• Regular performance reporting from native analytics across platforms.
• Own the inbox: comments, DMs, and mentions across platforms.
• Manage Facebook group and Reddit presence.
• Brief outside videographers and source UGC creators; support paid content.
