Job description

Location: Fort Worth, TX (On-site / Field / DFW Local Travel) Position Type: Full-Time Compensation: $55,000 (Commensurate with experience) + Benefits Reports To: Marketing Director

About Us

We are an industry-leading architectural metal fabricator operating three specialized product brands under our parent company identity. From sleek exterior facade systems specified by premier architectural firms to heavy-duty interior metal solutions built for trade installers, we combine craftsmanship with cutting-edge manufacturing technology.

The Role

We are seeking a social-first visual storyteller who excels at interpersonal communications, getting hands-on in industrial environments, and deeply understands how to engineer short-form video for platform algorithms and audience retention.

As our Social-First Content Creator , you aren't just taking photos or operating a camera—you own the creative execution that drives our brand visibility. You will step onto our shop floor and active construction sites to bring our work to life on camera, transforming real-world manufacturing into platform-native content that hooks viewers, builds community, and expands our digital footprint.

Every piece of content you produce will be created with intent: capturing attention, driving qualified industry engagement, and growing our audience of architects, contractors, and trade professionals. You will work directly with our Marketing Director on strategy to fuel our social channels and build our library of project case studies—showing architects how incredible our products look, showing GCs how skilled our fabricators and installers are, and showing subcontractors how easy our products are to install.

Key Responsibilities
1. Social Growth & Short-Form Video Production

Growth-Engineered Content: Shoot, edit, and optimize platform-native short-form video (Instagram Reels, LinkedIn clips, YouTube Shorts/TikTok) using strong visual hooks, strategic pacing, trend-aware audio, and clear copy.

Story-Driven Showcases: Transform technical fabrication, construction processes, and finished projects into captivating "How It’s Made" visual content that highlights the skill and craftsmanship of our team.

Audience Tailoring: Adapt content tone to resonate with specific target segments—dramatic, editorial, and design-focused for architects; practical, gritty, and efficiency-focused for installers and contractors.

2. Visual Asset Capture (Shop Floor & Job Sites)

Shop Floor Coverage: Develop an internal network with colleagues to stay plugged into daily manufacturing action—laser cutting, CNC machining, brake pressing, welding sparks, and custom metal finishing.

On-Site Field Coverage: Travel to active job sites across the DFW area (and occasional out-of-town trips) to document installation progress, field crews at work, finished hero projects, and content for corporate and training videos.

Drone Videography: Capture high-end aerial footage of completed building facades and commercial developments.

3. Storytelling & Case Study Support

Conduct quick, on-the-ground video/audio interviews with our shop crew, engineers, project managers, and installers to capture the narrative arc behind complex builds.

Draft simple narrative arcs and bullet-point summaries from site visits to support technical case studies and email feature stories.

Organize, tag, and maintain a high-resolution digital asset library of raw photos and video footage.

Partner with our Virtual Assistant to hand off visual assets for graphic overlays, formatting, and platform scheduling.

Qualifications & Requirements

Social-First Mindset: Deep understanding of modern algorithms, platform mechanics, retention graphs, visual hooks, and editing styles that drive organic distribution on LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok.

Experience: 2+ years of professional video production, photography, and short-form editing experience (portfolio, active social channels managed, or video reel required with application).

Interpersonal Skills: Outstanding verbal and relational communication skills—you easily connect with shop craftsmen, field crews, engineers, and leadership to uncover compelling stories.

Technical Skills: Mastery of fast-paced video/photo editing tools (such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, CapCut, Lightroom, or Final Cut Pro).

Industrial Comfort: Comfortable working on active manufacturing shop floors and construction environments (safety gear/PPE provided—steel-toe boots, safety glasses, and high-visibility vests are part of the daily uniform).

Visual Eye: Deep understanding of framing, lighting, motion tracking, and audio capture in variable, fast-moving environments.

Mobility: Valid Texas driver's license and reliable transportation for local travel to DFW job sites, with the ability for occasional out-of-town trips.

Drone Certification: FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate is a major plus (or willingness to obtain certification within 90 days of hire; company-funded).

Performance Measurement & Success Metrics

Rather than tracking bottom-of-funnel sales metrics outside your control, your performance will be evaluated against four core content and social growth KPIs :

Hook Quality & Audience Retention: Consistently capturing viewer attention within the first 3 seconds and maintaining strong watch-time completion rates.

Platform Engagement Rate: Increasing active audience interactions—likes, comments, saves, and shares—specifically among target industry profiles (architects, GCs, glazing subs).

Publishing Consistency & Volume: Maintaining a reliable pipeline and publishing cadence of growth-focused short-form assets across our channels.

Qualified Audience Growth: Measurable, month-over-month growth in overall follower count and targeted reach across primary social platforms.

30-60-90 Day Success Roadmap:

30 Days: You understand our three brands and safety protocols, have established a solid internal relationship network across our divisions, and are publishing initial content from the shop floor.

60 Days: You have built a streamlined shooting/editing workflow and are publishing a consistent stream of short-form videos showing initial lifts in retention and engagement metrics.

90 Days: You are independently coordinating job site visits and running a data-informed content engine that delivers quantifiable growth in targeted follower counts and channel reach.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

Visual Playground: Every project we build is unique. You’ll never run out of dynamic, visually impressive subjects to shoot.

Culture & Abundant Material: With three distinct product divisions, 250 employees, and hundreds of active projects, you will have an endless pipeline of content opportunities.

Gear & Support: Access to required company recording/drone gear and a dedicated virtual assistant to take administrative formatting off your plate. You’ll join a fun, welcoming team excited to showcase their craftsmanship!
