Position Summary
The Palliative and Collaborative Care (PACT) Intervention team seeks a Research Assistant to coordinate schedules of PACT participants. The ideal candidate has experience in cancer care and knowledge of care for older adults with cancer and care partners. Responsibilities include working with the PACT PI and RN, coordinating activities, co-leading meetings, providing continuity of care, maintaining regulatory documentation, and working approximately 10 hours per week on this temporary position.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
High school diploma or equivalency with at least one year of related office experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Same as above: High school diploma or equivalency plus one year of related office experience or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Knowledge of patient care practices, medical terminology, disease processes, pharmacology, and current diagnostic procedures. Exposure to healthcare coursework or experience as a Nursing Assistant, Research Assistant, or Research Coordinator, especially with adults with cancer. Skills in patient guidance, symptom assessment, interpreting medical information, and effective communication are highly valued.
