Reports to: Elizabeth Ganzhorn, Director/Owner of Soccer Shots Northwestern Virginia

Soccer Shots: Soccer Shots is a fast-growing, intro-to-soccer program offered throughout the Northwestern VA territory. It serves children aged 2 to 8 years through partnerships with private childcare centers and public park programs.

Objective of the Position: To provide coaching, administrative, and marketing support to the owner and assist in identifying and implementing new programs.

Position Description: The Assistant Program Coordinator joins a dedicated leadership team focused on delivering excellent community programs. The team values a strong work ethic, commitment to the mission, good communication skills, customer satisfaction, attention to detail, and creativity. The role offers opportunities for growth and increased responsibilities.

Job Responsibilities:

Coaching and Staff Leadership:

• Recruiting, hiring, scheduling, training, evaluating, and managing instructors.
• Maintaining instructor schedules and handling cancellations/reschedules.
• Managing staff paperwork and files.
• Hosting instructor meetings and managing internship programs.
• Coaching 10-20 sessions per week each season.

Marketing and Communications:

• Running seasonal marketing campaigns, including demos, distributing materials, and signage.
• Assisting with direct mail and park program promotions.
• Communicating with parents and partners, including writing thank you notes and gifts.
• Creating newsletters and managing social media accounts.
• Representing Soccer Shots at industry events and running special events.
• Writing press releases with approval.

Administration:

• Scheduling seasons and preparing promotional materials.
• Managing registration, enrollment, and inventory.

Sales and Growth:

• Achieving enrollment and revenue goals through new accounts and promotions.
• Seeking sponsorships and partnerships.
• Developing new programs.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements: The role involves sitting, standing, walking, and physical activity, including running, stooping, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Work may be indoors or outdoors, with exposure to gymnasium-like noises. The position is part-time, requiring at least 20 hours per week, with additional hours during busy seasons, including evenings and weekends.
