Job summary

i9 Sports in Bradenton, FL is seeking a Youth Sports Coach & Official to lead and mentor young athletes in a fun, safe, and positive environment. This role offers a flexible, part-time seasonal schedule that fits around school, another job, or personal commitments.

You will teach skills, promote sportsmanship, and manage game duties while gaining leadership experience and meeting families across the community.

Qualifications

• Positive attitude and passion for working with children.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Weekend availability for approx. 7 weeks.
• Background check required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support youth sports games while creating a fun and encouraging atmosphere
• Learn and apply i9 Sports rules and guidelines to promote safe and fair competition
• Teach and reinforce teamwork, sportsmanship, effort, and respect
• Provide age-appropriate instruction and encouragement during games
• Manage game timing, scoring, and basic field/court responsibilities
• Communicate professionally and positively with players, coaches, parents, and staff
• Help create an organized, welcoming, and memorable experience for every family

Job Summary

Our Coaches and Officials are more than just game managers—they are mentors, leaders, and role models who help create a fun, safe, and positive environment for every player, coach, and family. This role plays a direct part in making each game day successful by encouraging sportsmanship, teaching skills, and ensuring every child has a great experience.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

• Previous sports playing, coaching, or officiating experience preferred
• Ability to lead, problem-solve, and take initiative
• Dependable, responsible, and comfortable working independently
• Ability to work weekend schedules throughout the season (approximately 7 weeks)
• Must successfully complete a National Criminal Background Check
