Job summary

Sporting Kansas City is seeking a Data Analyst to deliver key performance insights for the First Team, collaborating with coaches, analysts, scouts, and physical performance staff to support decision-making.

You will translate data into actionable recommendations, develop benchmarking frameworks for players and teams, and lead data visualization projects to support recruitment and squad planning across the club.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in data science or related STEM field.
• Experience using SQL and Python and/or R for data management and analysis.
• Experience with Tableau or other data visualization software.
• Proven ability to deliver insights within a professional soccer environment.
• Excellent communication skills to translate data into actionable insights.
• Creative, curious problem solver with teamwork and proactive learning.

Responsibilities

• Provide data and analytical support across the Club to enhance data understanding and adoption.
• Translate data into performance strategies with coaches, analysts, scouts, and physical performance staff.
• Present analytical findings clearly to stakeholders including leadership and ownership.
• Develop benchmarking frameworks for players, teams and leagues to support objective decision-making.
• Lead data visualization projects and build decision-support tools and reports.
