Job summary

HDR is seeking a veteran Transit Market Sector Leader to guide growth across Southern California. You will drive client development, pursuit leadership, and strategic planning while coordinating across HDR’s transit, engineering, and advisory teams.

The role requires senior leadership, deep relationships with transit agencies, and proven success in large, multi‑discipline programs. A strong executive presence and collaboration across HDR regions are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering, planning or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of industry experience in transit planning, environmental, design, program management, or related services.
• Experience developing and managing strategic marketing programs for planning/engineering services.
• Active participation and leadership in transit or transportation industry organizations.

Responsibilities

• Identify viable opportunities, establish client, capture, staffing, and investment strategies for growth.
• Lead the Southern California Transit Market Sector strategy and planning.
• Manage client relationships, pursuits, and executive sponsorship for priority clients.
• Promote HDR services across market sectors and drive cross‑sector collaboration.
• Mentor staff and build a collaborative, inclusive culture across dispersed teams.
