Job summary

BKF Engineers is seeking a Regional Lead to guide operations, client relations, and team development across the Western region. You will align regional initiatives with firmwide strategy, lead multidisciplinary project delivery, and drive growth while managing budgets and performance metrics.

The role requires deep knowledge of Land Development design, leadership experience, and a willingness to travel between regional offices and client sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a closely related field.
• PE license in California is preferred.
• 8-10 years of Land Development design experience with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex projects.
• Strong understanding of regional market conditions, client needs, and regulatory frameworks.
• Demonstrated success in business development and client relationship management.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Highly organized, analytical, and results oriented.
• Willingness to travel as needed to support regional offices, project sites, or client engagements.

Responsibilities

• Regional Strategy & Execution: Translate strategic plans into actionable regional initiatives.
• Team Leadership & Development: Lead and mentor a high-performing regional team and support succession planning.
• Client Engagement & Market Growth: Serve as primary regional contact and shape go-to-market strategies.
• Develop and lead growth initiatives at the regional level aligned with the strategic plan.
• Project Oversight & Delivery: Provide oversight to ensure quality, efficiency, and client satisfaction.
• Operational & Financial Management: Support regional budget, monitor backlog, revenue, and KPIs.
