Job summary

BKF seeks a Regional Lead to guide land development activities across its California geography. You will lead client engagement, drive regional strategy, mentor teams, and manage project delivery while monitoring budgets and KPIs.

Responsibilities include identifying growth opportunities, collaborating with offices, and representing BKF at industry events. A CA PE license is preferred; travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8–10 years of experience in Land Development design.
• At least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex projects.
• Strong understanding of regional market conditions, client needs, and regulatory frameworks.
• Demonstrated success in business development and client relationship management.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Highly organized, analytical, and results oriented.
• Willingness to travel as needed to support regional offices, project sites, or client engagements.
• Able to work cooperatively with BKF leadership and other key stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Regional Strategy & Execution: translate strategic plans into regional initiatives and pursue growth opportunities.
• Team Leadership & Development: mentor and develop a high-performing regional team and support succession planning.
• Client Engagement & Market Growth: act as primary regional client contact and shape go-to-market strategies.
• Project Oversight & Delivery: provide oversight to ensure quality, efficiency, and client satisfaction.
• Operational & Financial Management: assist regional budgeting, monitor backlog and margins, meet KPIs.
