Job summary

SoCal JCB is seeking a hands-on Field Service Technician to repair and maintain aerial and earth-moving equipment at customer sites in Southern California. You will complete on-site diagnostics, perform preventive maintenance, and provide accurate service reports while maintaining safety standards.

This non-exempt, full-time role requires 1-3 years of field experience, ability to travel, and comfort working in an office and shop environment.

Position Purpose

Reporting to the Service Manager. This position is responsible for repairing and maintaining various types of aerial and earth moving equipment.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities

• Complete and turn in reports that capture all time and work completed
• Provide diagnostic analysis, repair, or preventative maintenance for customer machines
• Complete on-site system audits and evaluations
• Practice and adhere to all safety and training

Minimum Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• 1-3 years installing and maintaining machines
• Ability to travel
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
• Computer skills needed perform diagnostics, complete reports, etc

• Proficient in Microsoft Office software
• Comfortable in an in-person office environment
• Technical competence is a plus
• Must be customer service oriented, flexible, and have a high energy level
• Must have excellent follow-through skills

• Must be open to domestic and international travel
• Desire and proven ability to learn and grow
