Job summary

STOPSO is seeking a SOC Tier 1 Analyst to support the USARC DCOMSS program at Fort Bragg, NC. You will monitor cyber defense telemetry, triage alerts, document incidents, and escalate activity requiring deeper investigation as the first tier of the security operations workflow.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year of cyber defense experience, proficiency with SIEM/EDR/IDS tools, and strong written and verbal communication for government stakeholders in a mission-focused environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of cyber defense or network security monitoring experience.
• Must meet DCWF 511 Intermediate and DoD 8140.03 qualification requirements.
• DoD certification options listed: CEH(P), Cloud+, FITSP-O, GCED, GDSA, GMON, GRID, GSEC, PenTest+, Security+.

Responsibilities

• Monitor SIEM alerts and sensor events for suspicious activity.
• Triage events using playbooks and distinguish false positives.
• Create accurate tickets and preserve supporting artifacts.
• Escalate events to Tier 2 and communicate during handoffs.
• Follow approved response procedures and maintain operational records.
• Support exercises and surge work within assigned scope.
