Job summary

Strategic Operational Solutions (STOPSO) is seeking a SOC Tier 1 Analyst to support the US Army Reserve Command (USARC) DC​OMSS program at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Monitor cyber defense telemetry during assigned watches, triage alerts, document incidents, and elevate activity that requires deeper investigation.

This is the first tier of the DCOMSS security operations workflow. The candidate will monitor SIEM alerts and other telemetry, perform triage using playbooks, and escalate to Tier 2 as

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of documented relevant cyber defense or network security monitoring experience.
• Experience with SIEM triage, network traffic analysis, and incident records.
• DCWF 511 Cyber Defense Analyst qualification path; DoD requirements apply.
• Document work-role appointment and ensure continuing learning for DoD roles.

Responsibilities

• Monitor SIEM alerts, sensor events, and host detections for suspicious activity.
• Triage events using playbooks and distinguish true from false positives.
• Create tickets, classify incidents, preserve artifacts, and update status.
• Escalate to Tier 2 with context during handoffs.
• Follow approved response procedures and document operational reports.
• Support exercises and surge work within scope.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
