Job summary

E-Space in Saratoga is seeking a skilled SoC Platform Engineer to take ownership of IP integration, system verification, and firmware development. This hands-on role impacts the hardware development cycle by defining testbenches and implementing critical SoC features in silicon. Applicants should have proficiency in RTL design using SystemVerilog, experience with UVM, and the ability to write bare-metal C firmware. The role pays between $150,000 – $220,000 annually, with a dynamic work environment and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in RTL design and verification using SystemVerilog and/or VHDL.
• Experience with UVM or similar structured verification methodologies.
• Ability to write bare-metal C firmware for hardware bring-up and feature validation.
• Strong knowledge of AMBA protocols (AXI, AHB, APB).
• Understanding of SoC subsystem partitioning and hardware/software interfaces.
• Experience with simulation tools (e.g., VCS, Questa, Xcelium).
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Tcl, Bash.
• Expertise with Git or similar version control systems.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, integrate, and verify IP blocks within the SoC.
• Author targeted test firmware to bring up and verify IP blocks.
• Develop subsystem-level test firmware for integrated components.
• Define, implement, and maintain system-level testbenches.
• Own and manage testbench build flows for reproducibility.
• Implement SoC-level security features and communication fabrics.
• Define and implement the SoC boot architecture.

Skills

Proficiency in RTL design and verification using SystemVerilog and/or VHDL

Experience with UVM or similar structured verification methodologies

Ability to write bare-metal C firmware for hardware bring-up

Strong knowledge of AMBA protocols (AXI, AHB, APB)

Understanding of SoC subsystem partitioning and hardware/software interfaces
