Job summary

Securitas Security Services USA, Inc. is seeking a SOC Operator to join our centralized monitoring team in a fast-paced environment. You will manage alarms, CCTV feeds, and incident reporting to ensure rapid, accurate responses for clients and on-site personnel.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Monitor intrusion detection and other security systems to identify threats.
• Listen to and manage law enforcement and security radio traffic in real time.
• Coordinate and dispatch appropriate emergency services or on-site personnel.
• Accurately log incidents and maintain detailed reports.
• Monitor CCTV to detect suspicious activity and support investigations.
• Perform remote alarm panel programming and system troubleshooting as needed.
• Provide clear, professional communication to clients and responders.
• Review events for trends and improvement opportunities.

Position Overview

As a SOC Operator , you play a critical role in maintaining a safe and secure environment through centralized monitoring and coordination. This position is responsible for managing security systems, monitoring alarms and communications, dispatching emergency services, and documenting incidents in real time.

SOC Operators serve as the command center for security operations—ensuring rapid response, accurate reporting, and continuous situational awareness.

If you have experience in call centers, dispatch, customer service, or surveillance monitoring, this role is a great fit. If not, we provide the training needed to launch your career in the security field.

Key Responsibilities

• Alarm Monitoring: Monitor intrusion detection systems and other security technologies to identify and respond to threats

• Radio & Communication Monitoring: Listen to and manage law enforcement and security radio traffic while maintaining real-time awareness

• Incident Dispatching: Coordinate and dispatch appropriate emergency services or on-site personnel

• Event Logging & Reporting: Accurately log incidents, maintain detailed records, and prepare professional reports

• Video Surveillance: Monitor CCTV systems to detect suspicious activity and support investigations

• System Operations: Perform remote alarm panel programming and system troubleshooting as needed

• Customer Support: Provide clear, professional communication to clients, employees, and emergency responders

• Incident Analysis: Review events and assist with identifying trends or areas for improvement

Minimum Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age

• High School Diploma or GED (or willingness to obtain within six months)

• Legal authorization to work in the United States

• Customer service

• Computer skills

• Reliable communication

• Ability to multitask under stress

• Valid driver license

• Ability to read, write, and speak English

• Successful completion of pre-employment screening (background check and drug test)

Preferred Experience

• Call center, dispatch, or monitoring experience

• Security operations center (SOC) experience

• Familiarity with CCTV, alarm systems, or dispatch software
