Job summary

Arm seeks a highly skilled SoC Offensive Security Staff Engineer in Austin, TX. You will apply attacker mindset to identify design vulnerabilities across pre- and post-silicon, review specs, RTL, and firmware, and lead offensive security assessments with automation and AI assistance.

You'll create PoCs/exploits, investigate advanced attack chains, and collaborate with security researchers and engineering teams to improve threat models and security architectures in Arm's next-generation silicon.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of SoC architecture and IP integration.
• Experience enumerating micro-architectural attack surfaces and SoC integration concerns.
• Proven record of adversarial assessments (PoCs, exploits, CTFs, publications).
• Hands-on with SystemVerilog RTL and UVM-based validation environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform adversarial security analysis of SoC and chiplet architectures, pre/post-silicon.
• Review architecture, micro-architecture, system specs, RTL, and firmware components with teams.
• Participate in design reviews, security discussions, and threat-based hackathons.
• Apply automation and AI-assisted methods to vulnerability discovery and test generation.
• Develop PoCs, exploits, and security demonstrations when appropriate.
• Investigate multi-stage attack chains beyond standard threat models.
• Collaborate with internal security researchers and engineering teams to assess mitigations.
• Contribute to threat models, mitigations, and security architecture recommendations.
• Help develop offensive security methodologies, tools, and best practices.
