Job summary

TENEX.AI is seeking a SOC Director to lead the SOC and keep our detection and response engine running 24/7. You will manage SOC Managers, own overall SOC health, and stay hands-on with complex investigations and detection engineering decisions alongside analysts and engineers.

You will drive metrics, scale operations, and collaborate with Detection Engineering, Product, and Customer Success to ensure top-tier protection for our customers.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in security operations.
• 3+ years leading SOC teams (including managing managers or team leads).
• Hands-on in detection, incident response, and modern SOC tooling (SIEM/SOAR, EDR, cloud).
• Proven track record owning SOC performance metrics and driving improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead the SOC Managers and develop the team.
• Own SOC health and performance metrics and drive improvements.
• Stay hands-on in escalations, investigations, and detection decisions.
• Support customer outcomes as senior escalation point for SOC operations.
• Scale the operation with processes, staffing plans, and playbooks.
• Partner with Detection Engineering, Product, and Customer Success to close gaps.
