Job summary

TENEX.AI is seeking a SOC Director to lead and scale our SOC, ensuring around-the-clock detection and response for customers. You will manage SOC Managers, stay hands-on in escalations, and partner with engineering, product, and customer success to deliver high-quality protection.

You will champion metrics for detection quality and response speed, drive improvements, and build scalable processes while maintaining close collaboration with customers and analysts.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in security operations, with 3+ years leading SOC teams (including managers)
• Strong hands-on technical foundation in detection, incident response, and modern SOC tooling (SIEM/SOAR, EDR, cloud)
• Proven track record owning SOC performance metrics and driving measurable improvement
• Track record of building and retaining high-performing security operations teams

Responsibilities

• Lead the SOC Managers and develop a high-performing team
• Own SOC health and performance by defining and tracking detection quality, response speed, and customer outcomes
• Stay hands-on in escalations, complex investigations, and detection engineering decisions
• Support customer outcomes as a senior escalation point for security operations
• Scale the operation by building processes, staffing plans, and playbooks
• Partner cross-functionally with Detection Engineering, Product, and Customer Success to close gaps
