Job summary

ShorePoint, LLC is seeking a SOC Analyst Tier 1 (Secret Clearance) for our enterprise Security Operations Center in Washington, DC. The role focuses on reviewing, triaging, and investigating alerts under supervision to improve incident detection, with opportunities to grow in a fast-growing cybersecurity firm.

The position requires a foundational understanding of cybersecurity and SOC concepts, plus a willingness to learn and develop skills under supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 3+ years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
• 1+ year hands-on experience in a 24/7 SOC environment.
• Active Secret clearance required.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation practices.
• Willingness to learn and develop under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Review, triage and investigate alerts to support incident detection.
• Escalate issues to Tier 2 analysts when appropriate.
• Perform initial analysis of security events to identify potential threats.
• Support SOC monitoring activities under supervision.
• Document findings and maintain SOC records.
• Apply foundational technical knowledge to resolve routine problems.
• Participate in training and skill development to build cybersecurity expertise.
